Welcome to Brighter Days Psychotherapy (“we,” “us,” “our”). By accessing or using our website (brighterdayspsychotherapy.com) (“Site”), booking a consultation, or acquiring our services, you (“you,” “client,” or “user”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions. 1. Purpose & Scope

1.1. The Site and our services provide information about online psychotherapy and related mental health support.
1.2. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Site and any interaction (consultations, sessions, communications) initiated via the Site.

2. Eligibility & Disclaimer

2.1. You must be at least 18 years old (or, if a minor, have parental or guardian consent) to engage in therapy services.
2.2. This Site and our content are for general informational purposes and do not substitute for in-person or virtual clinical diagnosis or treatment.
2.3. We cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Mental health improvement depends on many factors including your engagement, external circumstances, etc.
2.4. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, or other emergency, you must contact emergency services such as 911 or local crisis hotlines. We are not equipped to provide emergency services via the Site.

3. Telehealth & Delivery of Services

3.1. Services are delivered virtually (videoconferencing, telephone, messaging) unless otherwise arranged.
3.2. You agree to comply with any technical requirements (device, internet connection, software) to receive services.
3.3. Confidentiality is maintained consistent with professional and legal obligations, but these cannot guarantee full security over the internet.
3.4. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate therapy services if clinically warranted or if ethical/legal issues arise.

4. Client Responsibilities & Conduct

4.1. You agree to provide accurate, timely, and complete information and to notify us of changes (e.g. contact info, relevant medical history).
4.2. You must act respectfully and not engage in abuse, harassment, or threatening speech toward the therapist, staff, or other clients.
4.3. You agree not to record sessions without explicit permission.
4.4. You are responsible for participating to the best of your ability (e.g. attending sessions, completing assignments) for therapy effectiveness.

5. Payment, Fees & Cancellation

5.1. Session fees, packages, or rates will be clearly disclosed prior to booking or during onboarding.
5.2. You are responsible for timely payment via authorized payment methods (e.g. credit card, ACH, etc.).
5.3. If you cancel or reschedule, our cancellation policy applies (e.g., 24-hour notice) or fees may be charged.
5.4. We may revise our rates from time to time; changes will apply to future services and notice will be given.

6. Intellectual Property & Use of Content

6.1. All materials on the Site (text, images, logos, videos, downloads) are owned by us or licensed to us and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
6.2. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission.
6.3. You may use our downloadable resources or worksheets for your personal, non-commercial use only.

7. Privacy & Data Protection

7.1. Our use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy (linked on the site).
